"I'm saying... I'm an insect, who dreamt he was a man, and loved it. But now, the dream is over... and the insect is awake."
Brundlefly from the 1986 David Cronenberg film, The Fly.
Okay, this movie scared the everlovin' hell out of me as a child. The scene where Seth is climbing on the ceiling gave me countless nightmares, and I couldn't sit all the way through until I got much older. Nonetheless, I was always fascinated with it growing up, and I now cosider it to be one my all-time favorite films. It says a lot when a movie can be simultaneously repulsive AND sentimental at the same time.
I've been wanting to draw fanart of my favorite movie monsters for a while, and the idea finally spurred along by seeing ~BryanTheEvery's recent stuff (go check him out, by the way). So, I'm aiming to get at least three of these "favorite monster" images done by Halloween, if not more.
