Description
Come, O nestling one,
and dance on tired feet.
There is always time
to find the music hiding
in the beginning
and end of things.
Can you see,
in the dried remains of love
spilled upon the ground,
the nourished seeds
so small they laugh
without making any sound?
Do your muscles cramp
and your eyes leak
the proof of living?
And in the slow unfurling that you seek,
do you grip yourself
by the nape of your neck?
Do you grin through broken teeth?

I wanted to draw something to embody the end of the year and how I felt about myself and what I've accomplished, as well as incorporate what I feel I've learned artistically!

This was also greatly inspired by the above poem, which I found on the ground at Burning Man outside the temple during a time where I was feeling pretty emotionally strung-out. It really struck a chord that day and ever since, really.
